The purposes of the A-RNA are:
(a) to promote the scientific knowledge and clinical application of ribonucleic acid (RNA) and related technologies through research, publications, discussion, support of young investigators and organization of scientific meetings;
(b) A-RNA will create a forum for the presentation and discussion of all aspects of research and application of RNA, nucleic acids and related fields by hosting a annual conference meeting focussed on RNA biology, biotechnology, emphasizing the highest quality science
Other activities of A-RNA:
Engagement of the key stakeholders in Australasia (academic research, clinical trials, industry, government, venture capital/investors, consumers);
Sponsor Awards to promote education and training and recognise outstanding contributions to the field;
