About the Association
A-RNA was formed in 2021 and incorporated as an association in 2023 to bring together research, government, clinical and industry groups interested in sharing and disseminating results and emerging concepts related to RNA (ribonucleic acid) research.
A-RNA encapsulated RNA research across Australasia in the broadest sense: from studies of individual RNAs, regulation of and by RNAs, RNA modifying enzymes, technologies to study RNAs and modifications, therapeutic applications and computational analysis of RNA and RNA biology.
We are a proudly multidisciplinary society, representing molecular, evolutionary and structural biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, chemistry, genetics, translation, preclinical testing and development, industry and virology as they relate to questions of the study and use of RNA.
